Announcing our South African housing study tour
14/04/10
Our South African housing study tour incorporating The Southern African Housing Foundation
International Conference, Exhibition and Housing Awards
10-13 October 2010
Southern Sun, Cape Sun, Strand Street, Cape Town
Based on the success of our last housing study tour to South Africa which included attending the SAHF International Conference in Cape Town, we are organising another trip in October 2010. Running from Friday 8 to Sunday 17 October, this mixed programme will allow you to attend the SAHF's three-day conference and visit public and private sector housing developments within the metropolitan area of Cape Town.
Don't miss out - start saving for your travel costs now (which will depend on flight costs and how long you stay).
With climate change and global warming at the top of many countries' agendas, there is a great need to develop, educate and promote greener buildings and systems to sustain developing human settlements around the world. Carbon credits must be explored and promoted to be used to its fullest potential. South Africa, as a signatory to the Kyoto Protocol, is required to comply with its goals and objectives.
The SAHF 2010 conference will focus on Green Technology for Sustainable Human Settlements. Its interactive sessions will provide an ideal opportunity for delegates to debate and propose solutions to support developing communities.
It will be of interest to academics, researchers, housing managers, consultants, local government officials, innovators, community-based organisations, councillors, non-government organisations, financial institutions and manufacturers.
