Ah, Vienna
14/01/09
We are planning a return housing study visit to Vienna from 5-9 May 2009 with help from Wolfgang Förster, Head of Research at the Department of the Vienna Land Procurement and Urban Renewal Fund, who will be visiting our regional conference in Brighton in March.
Itinerary
We will have an early evening briefing on Tuesday 5 May and a two-and-a-half day programme of discussions, workshops and site visits. There will be a day at the end of the visit for relaxation.
However, whilst we have the basis of a programme in place, we are always keen to take on any particular interests from delegates.
Accommodation
The group will stay in a two or three-star city hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. We hope to be as close as possible to trains on Vienna U-Bahn metro system and the City Airport Train (from Vienna International Airport).
Flights
We intend to travel by easyJet from London Luton Airport, departing at 12.55pm on the Tuesday 5 May, returning around 6.00pm on Saturday 9 May.
Costs
- Students sharing a room - £325
- Members sharing a room - £365
- Members and students, single-occupancy room - £425
- Non-members, single-occupancy room - £475
Because of limited time and the falling pound, we plan to book flights and hotels as soon as possible.

If you are interested, please send your completed reservation form with a £120 deposit by 19 January. This covers the non-returnable elements of securing the flights and hotel.
