National election for CIH Council

The issue
The election to fill vacancies for national representatives on the CIH's 32-member governing Council are held in February. Two members from the South East region - Steve Benson and Alison Breese - currently sit on the Council.
Action
Three members of the current South East Regional Committee are planning to stand in the election and to contest the five vacancies occurring this year:
- Bob Keats, Treasurer of the South East committee
- Claire Martin, current Vice-Chair
- Graham Maunders, current Chair.
Ballot papers with full details of all confirmed candidates will be sent to voting members - corporates and fellows - on 19 February, and the ballot will close on Monday 16 March.
Those elected will take up their seats on Council at the Annual General Meeting in Harrogate in June.
National Council plays a key role in overseeing the strategic direction and financial control of our organisation and, as individual trustees, Council members are responsible for the overall and long-term wellbeing of CIH.
